The world of animation has witnessed many changes over the years. From hand-drawn animation to 3D animation, it has evolved and changed dramatically. Stop Motion is the term used to describe the form of animation that is created by physically manipulating real world objects and photographing them, one frame at a time, to create the illusion of movement when the series of frames are played as a continuous sequence. There are various types of stop-motion animation. Some examples include: Claymation, Puppet Animation, Pixilation (live actors change their movement in each frame of the animation), and Object Animation.
How Animation Works
The idea behind stop-motion animation is the same as with live-action cinematography. Images are captured in a sequence and then played back in quick succession to create the illusion of movement over time.

Artists Practice in Public
Before art can have an impact, it must first have an audience. Please take a moment to share your Epic Chase Scene animation to the Clayburn Student Gallery. Please be sure to name the file with your homeroom, first name, and last name. You are also required to share your video with Mr. Williams using your Learn34.com Drive.
Your success is closely related to your ability to work well with others. You are required to comment on, and rate, animation of at least 3 other students. Please be positive, friendly, and constructive in all your comments.
